Everyone will react differently I imagine!“We are thrilled to announce that the Eurofighter Typhoon is on its way to DCS World! To bring this advanced fighter to DCS, a brand new company, TrueGrit Virtual Technologies has been founded specifically for the challenge. Is that a PIRATE? All models had HMD and HOBS. We’re all in this crazy place… here’s hoping for the future!Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:DCS: Eurofighter being developed by new third party with impressive pedigree Detail. These behind the scenes images show the cockpit texturing process coming together and reveal some interesting details on the types of Typhoon that will be on offer.
I suspect Tranche 1, Block 5 (SRP 4.3) as this was the RAF ‘austere’ A2G mod subsequently rolled out for the other users. It’s likely that the Typhoon that Eagle Dynamics is building will be an earlier model roughly around the timeline of the DCS: F-16C (2007) and the DCS: F/A-18C (2006) which means that this could be a Tranche 1 (and hopefully a Block 5 which has air to air and air to ground modes) or an earlier Tranche 2. Final Hours - Free for All. 1 – lack of PIRATE would be a major absence for their aircraft as a whole. No IRIS-T yet available so AIM-9 I’m sure is a placeholder.Yeah I think the addition of a RAF version will be a good thing!Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:Sturmovikfest Day Four: Return of the mass formation! Not that it is invincible, but it is a damn fine aircraft (and would have been a sensible choice for Canada, capability-wise).Instead of blowing your load early with an unsourced article, had you waited 1 hour, you’d have seen this is a new module from a new dev, and NOT ED’s module.
In early February, what feels like a lifetime ago, Eagle Dynamics teased that they had a milestone aircraft that they were working on. Although TrueGrit revealed… Arr! The ‘Free for All event’ is coming to a close on the 19th of May. We truly hope you have had a chance to discover something new and special. On the weekend, TrueGrit Virtual Technologies released some new images of their work in progress Eurofighter Typhoon for DCS World. It’s mounted on the port side of the fuselage forward of the cockpit windscreen. The 3D models for the exterior still appear to be early days. We’ll find out soon enough what they are planning!A total beast. Even with the MScan, it should dominate in radar power and guidance while in T/W terms it has few equals. We maintain that we do not expect to release P-40F prior to 2.5 and a release schedule will be confirmed when the module is ready for beta. I repeat: THIS IS NOT ED, NOR IS IT THE SECRET MODULE!Ouch. Two other coders with Ph.D.’s in physics and mathematics will lead the programming of the Typhoon’s extremely complex flight model. In addition to Gero’s personal input and contribution to this highly detailed simulation, the team has excellent access to a number of Subject Matter Experts such as former instructor pilots, weapon instructors and maintenance personnel.Their team size stands at 15 today but they are always on the lookout for experienced coders to continue to grow.”Thanks Alex. It should crucify the opposition. Will make the 150 Octane / 109k BoX debates look like a mild disagreement.I have heard that it’s a fighter pilots dream to fly so this should be something very interesting to check out! This is also the first truly modern European jet fighter being added in. Sanity stable, but only just!Good luck to you! 15 may . Only thing they really feared (Red Flag) was F-22s. In Eurofighter Typhoon, you are flying the famous Eurofighter on top of Iceland to fight against Russian troops which invade the country and prevent the outbreak of World War III. The detail is definitely getting there and I’m sure before release they will be looking a good as the F-16, F/A-18, F-14 and others in the series. The TrueGrit development team is led by Gero Finke, a highly experienced former Typhoon Instructor Pilot with 15 years experience on type and an additional 10 years as a weapons instructor on the mighty F-4 Phantom – a total of 3’000 hours of military jet flying.
I suspect Tranche 1, Block 5 (SRP 4.3) as this was the RAF ‘austere’ A2G mod subsequently rolled out for the other users.Tranche 2 would be amazing, but far less likely given the general trend of the DCS series with regard to the dating of modern aircraft. That would be my assumption as well. Today, Gero’s dev team has substantial programming and design experience.
