The Deep Cove Chalet: Waterfront French dining room turning out traditional fare & wine in an elegant setting. Bev is extremely warm, welcoming and always the perfect hostess with the mostest....03 March 2020 Appetizers and bubbly in the garden and wandering the waterfront, then inside for a food experience that will be long remembered. 03 March 2020 excellent in all phases. And the food!

An evening spent at the Deep Cove Chalet is a one-of-a-kind experience and it would be foolish to describe this celebrated restaurant on the shores of the Saanich Inlet with a few pithy words about a meal there. Fabulous service is something clients appreciate here. The high ratings of this place would be impossible without the attentive staff. Menu items are varied and very well priced. My steak was a bit overdone and therefore tougher than it should have been (for a rib eye), both other diners had the rack of lamb, which was bit underdone. Mains were good, if not spectacular. The setting is gorgeous, try to book around sunset. The greeting and welcome upon arrival was first class. Many thanks Food delivery is a big plus of Deep Cove Chalet. The view is stunning, flowers ,are a feast for the eyes and the food is outstanding.

Corkage is allowed but not cheap. The restaurant was a tad hard to find, but we found it after a few U-turns. Ignore older posts about shabby decor, it is beautiful and well appointed.Excellent food, if you are in the area and looking for a special experience this is the place. We have been back three times since they re-opened. The decor is sophisticated with tablecloths and a delightful collection of artwork... More The ice cream is made at the Chalet as is the sauce. Tanis If you can eat, and I can, you must get the Beef Wellington or any one of the Wellingtons for that matter (can get lamb or pork I believe and occasionally venison or ostrich I think...?). Classic French dishes well prepared included steak tartare, pan fried oysters with two superb sauces, and rack of lamb. The food was exquisite and the service was superb.

The food and service were very good, but it's the "room" here that is superb--at least if you're on the terrace. I made a promise to myself that I will start going there at least once a month. Location, food & service were all fantastic. Deep Cove Chalet, Sidney: See 310 unbiased reviews of Deep Cove Chalet, rated 4.5 of 5 on Tripadvisor and ranked #1 of 63 restaurants in Sidney. It's a bit of a drive out of Vic, 25 min.

Same goes for inside, the place is becoming more run-down and less classic. Choose from set menus or a la carte. It could really use a good reno. Many thanks

They sometimes come around with seconds, which at that point can be borderline nauseating but no-one turns it down; it's just too good.

Main rack of lamb done perfectly...Outstanding food, wonderful ambiance, service exceeded expectations — pricey, so, alas, only able to visit for special occasions. We were thrilled to find our local 5 Star restaurant was indeed open and offering take out service during this pandemic we are all experiencing. Westerly view of Patricia Bay.

About 35 minute drive from downtown Victoria.
